Led the Geometry and CAD Design for the HR One ultra-long-range business jet, a project aimed at creating an advanced, luxurious, fast, and long-range business aircraft. The design supports a 8,000+ NM range, Mach 0.92 cruise speed, and operation from 6,000 ft runways while accommodating 8 passengers in premium comfort, with geometric constrains allowing HR One to access small airports to increase operational flexibility.

As the lead for CAD and geometry, I was responsible for translating aerodynamic and operational requirements into a cohesive physical design, ensuring that every aspect of the aircraft's structure supported its ambitious performance goals while meeting strict FAA Part 25 and interior accessibility mandates.

Design Goals & Achievements

  • Ultra-Long Range: Designed to achieve 8,000+ NM range while maintaining Mach 0.92 cruise capability
  • Premium Comfort: Integrated luxury interior features including lie-flat seats, queen-size bed, and full galley while maintaining aerodynamic efficiency
  • Operational Flexibility: Engineered for 6,000 ft runway operations while meeting all FAA Part 25 requirements

Key Design Responsibilities

  • External Aircraft Geometry: Created detailed CAD models of wing, fuselage, and tail components, ensuring alignment with aerodynamic and operational requirements
  • Interior Layout Design: Optimized cabin layout for 8 passengers with premium amenities while meeting FAA and ADA accessibility requirements
  • CG-Driven Wing Placement: Strategically positioned wing based on interior layout and mass distribution analysis

Technical Specifications

  • Passenger Accommodations: 8 seats (22" wide, 60" pitch, lay-flat), queen-size bed, two lavatories including handicap-accessible shower
  • Performance: Mach 0.92 cruise speed, 8,000+ NM range, 6,000 ft runway capability
  • Systems: Advanced pressurization (6,000 ft cabin altitude), climate control, Wi-Fi, and satellite TV
